It is with great sadness we must announce that Tyler Knotts will be departing from Ad Hominem: The Podcast of Illogical Debate. Earlier today, he was asked to leave the show due to creative differences. This decision wasn’t made lightly, as Tyler is a good friend and he tried his best to be a good co-host, as well. However, it eventually became clear that the show I wanted to produce and the show he wanted to be on were not the same show. Episode 15 will be Tyler’s last with the podcast.
As for the future of the show, Austin and I will continue recording together each week. The show will, for the most part, go on as usual. We will be seeking another co-host for the future, and will start seeking interested parties soon. We will also continue our ongoing assessment of how to improve the show for our listeners.
For content creators or other parties who have expressed interest in appearing on the show, there may be some changes to be aware of. Austin and I have discussed changing our recording times, and since we no longer have two hosts, we no longer have two available times during the week. I will reconnect with all affected parties to confirm their availability during our new time. As usual, I personally am willing to accommodate most evenings for special circumstances.
Thank you, Tyler, for your help with getting us this far! We wish you the best in your future endeavors. I hope that this does not mean the end of our friendship. I still look forward to consulting with you and bouncing ideas off each other. I think you could be a good podcaster or Youtuber. However, The Podcast of Illogical Debate just wasn’t the right context. From the bottom of my heart, I wish it didn’t have to be this way. However, I appreciate that we have unique styles and we each need to pursue what best fits our respective visions.
